Draining a Virtual Service
Hi All,
I am setting a A10 vThunder running 4.01 for a Oracle forms instance.... the DBA team would like to drain the virtual service for when a maintenance window takes place. I have looked in to the Graceful shutdown either I'm not configuring it right or some thing else is happening because if I disable a server it just chops the connection.
Any help on this would be great....

A few things to check as to why the graceful shutdown does not apply:
1. Have you check your graceful shutdown grace time settings. This feature can be set to "1-86400 seconds" range.
2. In order for the graceful shutdown to work, you must have at least 2 servers in the service group.
3. Also what type of load balancing methods have you configured. If source-I
P-based or destination-IP-based hashing is configured then I will not work.
Also what ACOS build have you installed?
