Hello Everyone,

Can I ask about A10 Networks octavia integration maximum MVP and ADP per hardware appliance A10 Thunder ADC ?

The idea is to have 2 or 3 vADC with MVP per hardware appliance and in each vADC to have 100 ADP is that possible?

I am doing research on A10 by the way.

Current MVP hardware can support at least 8 vADC VMs, and each vADC can support at least 32 Application Delivery Partitions (ADP). If you really need 300+ Partitions, you should look at the physical Thunder nodes – most which can support 1,000 partitions. Talk to your A10 Sales Team :slight_smile:

FYI: Someone pointed out to me that the A10 MVP currently officially supports up to 14 vADC VMs.

I am researching A10 at the moment no sales team for me from A10 side :slight_smile:

Other than that you mean hardware 10 can handle 300+ ADP ? If so nice.

Also we are talking about big appliances as not a big fan at chassis systems because of stability concerns ?

Still if possible to have MVP with 2 big vADC and each vADC to handle around 100 ADP will be great.

Some of the smaller A10 hardware boxes can only handle 250 ADPs, but most can go way over 300….its really more about having enough memory, and the larger nodes have more memory.

A10 has no chassis systems….A10 DOES have something called Virtual Chassis System (VCS) where you can cluster up multiple nodes but configure them as a single unit.

You can configure MVP to have one or two “large” vThunders, but A10 still only supports 35 ADPs each. It might actually work with 100 ADPs, it just would not be supported by A10 Support. You could always test it out and see I guess. :slight_smile:

Thanks for the link but strange limitation with this vThunder as you mentioned only memory is needed. Also unsupported config is not an option for us.

Also we are talking ADP private partitions not shared and related to a vlan and on shared trunk between all partitions.
