A10 ADC API support for rapid layer 7 or layer 4 VIP creation?

Hello Everyone,

A10 ADC API support for rapid layer 7 or layer 4 VIP creation ? I know AppCentric Templates but can they be used with Openstack Octavia driver and how to monitor the state like for example like F5 BIG-IP AS3 does as if there is a drift ?

Also the new A10 Control maybe can be added to the mix but what benefits does it have ?

A10 decided not to have proprietary automation tools, and instead support tools like Ansible and Terraform/OpenTofu. Using a CI/CD tool in conjunction with something like Ansible or Terraform would protect you from configuration “drift”.

A10 Control is the Management tool that can be used to configure, monitor, and control multiple A10 nodes with multiple configurations. There are many benefits of the product, but you should chat with your A10 Sales Team to get down to specifics

If this can be all used for octavia (ci/cd ) managed ADC it will be great!

For ACOS Templates limiting the API calls is one of the most important things in fully automated environment as to not overwhelm the device.

A10 Control is it integrated in the A10’s Octavia driver as it is something new?

A10 Control does not have direct Octavia integration, but it has API support and enables configuration of registered Thunder devices from a central point. The documentation covers installation, usage, and API aspects.

At the moment I am focusing on Octavia alone if A10 Control can’t be part of this maybe if not in a form of configuration management as the Octavia driver should take care of Virtual Server Creation then for monitoring and sending data extra to ELK SIEM and maybe initial ZTP system config (don’t know if A10 Control can be used just for this) then reviewing it is pointless to be honest.
