Power supply alarm

Hello All,

I’m currently in the process of configuring an A10 Thunder 1060 appliance, and I’ve run into a bit of a challenge I’m hoping someone in the community can assist with.

Due to a limited number of available power receptacles in the staging area, I’m operating the appliance outside of its ideal setup. As expected, the device’s audible alarm is sounding, likely because it’s detecting that redundant components (like a second PSU or fan module) are not connected or active.

My goal is to temporarily disable or mute the audible alarm while I complete the configuration process. Once the appliance is fully staged and moved into production, it will be installed in a proper environment with all components connected.

Has anyone dealt with this before?

  1. Is there a CLI command or a hardware-level option to suppress the alarm temporarily?
  2. Will disabling it affect the configuration or logging behavior in any way?
  3. Are there any best practices or precautions I should be aware of when doing this?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello pagan3940,

As you mentioned, the beep is expected behavior when running with single PSU. As far as I know there is no CLI command to stop the beep (even temporarily) unfortunately.

Thanks.

There is a small button on the back of the A10 to mute the alarm. The button is just to the left of the PSU cage.
